Summary

Phases 2 and 3 of the manual-by-manual build (CI Server R1.03).

Phase 2: CI Server Setup (IM 36K01C10) and Security Guide (IM 36K01C30)

  • Manual summaries in knowledge/manuals/: install order, required Windows settings, Vnet/IP addressing, upgrade/reinstall/uninstall, licence, IT security user types, CIX_ groups/accounts, firewall ports.
  • tools/setup_check.ps1: read-only check of a machine against both manuals (version, CI Service, 13 Windows settings, IT security accounts, firewall). Verified on the test PC (kept as a dev PC by decision).
  • New skill installation-security (setup check verified; install/upgrade/firewall/IT security from docs).

Phase 3: Tutorial (IM 36K10G10)

  • Summary mapping all 13 chapters to the phase that covers them.
  • Command-line equivalents practiced on CI-Eng-Sample and recorded as verified:
    • item-engineering skill: sub-items (Min-Max; Integrator adds value x seconds), block/unblock items (writes to blocked items are silently ignored without itmval -o).
    • class-object-engineering skill: trigger group, class compiled on load, object via quick load.
  • CI-Eng-Sample now has 5 sections, 9 items, 2 sub-items, a storage group, trigger group, class and object; full remove/load cycle clean.

Tracking: knowledge/progress.md updated; new issues ISS-008 to ISS-011 in knowledge/issues.md (SSL error in ci_start.log, DCOM port typo, integrator time unit, silent blocked writes).

Next: phase 4 (CI Portal Setup, Setup File Editor).
