cliu 516729ff24 R1.05 findings from a user project (tested only)
Tested on the R1.05 test server 2026-10-09..12 with a user project (own
objects only); not yet on CI-Eng-Sample (ISS-188). Only results that
were tested are included; inferences, code-only and manual-only points
and the untested sample layout change were left out.
- layouts: 'logout' is a secondary logout, always disabled on the R1.05
web client; 'exit' closes the window and ends the session (ISS-182).
- create-display: R1.05 web client table (String items in text vs
textField, fixed text alignment, start-hidden limits ISS-183, two
visibility conditions, On entry display actions, rectangle blinking,
  verified connections, first load).
- java-class 4a: signal arrays at scale, write on change, attribute
arrays, offline javac/javap check; change-reset-class: new signals need
the object recreated, attributes lost (ISS-185); opcdbg reset in cmd,
  TRIGGER_1 via dssqld -m.
- string-items (ISS-187), users-groups, modbus-station (400 registers,
comm loss), export-dataset (NAME range filter), item-alarming.
- new task system-management/package-project.md; tools/ModbusSim.java
(tested on R1.05: FC03/04/06/16, exceptions, modes); AMSI (ISS-186).

CI Server R1.05 system management and command-line tools. Use when the user wants
to stop CI Server, export dataset contents, load or remove records with quick load files
(dssqld, .qli), create sections or items in bulk, read or write item values or limits (itmval), load or import history,
check database consistency (dsschk), monitor processes/CPU/disk/network, back up or migrate
a system, tune or debug CI Server, or plan a system layout (standalone, separate portal, HAC,
host-to-host, enterprise, gateway core) or time synchronization, check whether a CI Server process is
running (durwfp), stop a single process (durstp), read the message log (umhlog), or check
BUS Service queues (adaptive queues, dur.sup), or work with DSS / Data Set Services (dsssda,
dssevt, dssman, dss.sup, DSSSDARST / DSSSDAPY, quick load macros and includes, memo fields from a file, dssutl,

# System management (R1.05)
Re-checked on R1.05 on 2026-10-08 (read-only, on the R1.05 test server): all tools used here
are installed and behave as on R1.03; `dssqld` help text, the monitoring setup files
(`int*.sup`), `itm.sup` and `durm_1_udp.sup` are unchanged. Changed on R1.05: two extra DSS
data access servers (`DSSSDARST` for the RESTful API, `DSSSDAPY` for pyTOOLS), larger DSS queues,
a *Gateway Core* switch in `dur.sup`, new datasets, and start/stop scripts that call
`?*_<script name>.cmd` extension scripts (details in the task files).
Background for this area: `knowledge/manuals/IM36K10J10-01EN.md`. Known issues:
`knowledge/manuals/IM36K01A50-01EN.md`.
Rules for every task:
- Run the `system-check` skill first (this skill is written for R1.05; R1.03 results are kept
and marked).
- CI Server tools live in `%TLS_ROOT_PATH%\tls\exe` (on `PATH`). Run them in a scratch folder,
because they write output and listing files to the current directory. Read the paths from
`set TLS` (on the R1.05 test server program and data are both under `C:\Yokogawa\CIServer`).
- Starting/stopping CI Server and anything that writes to the system needs an elevated
(administrator) session and, in this conversation, the user's chosen way of working
(direct vs prepare only).
- Exporting `OBJECT_DF` leaves 0-byte `dss_*.tmp` files in `%TLS_LST_PATH%` (task
`export-dataset.md`); clean them up after a test session.
| Task | File | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Package a project for another CI Server (quick load, display, layout, user, README, pre-check) and test the install | `tasks/package-project.md` | verified on R1.05 with a user project 2026-10-12 (not on CI-Eng-Sample) |
| Export dataset contents (whole or filtered) / dump the data dictionary | `tasks/export-dataset.md` | verified (R1.03; re-tested on R1.05 2026-10-08) |
| Load or remove records with quick load files (`.qli`), e.g. sections and items | `tasks/load-remove-records.md` | verified (R1.03; load/remove used on R1.05 in the CI-Eng-Sample test 2026-10-08) |
| Read / write item values and read limits | `tasks/read-write-item.md` | verified (R1.03; `-g`/`-p` used on R1.05 in the CI-Eng-Sample test, read re-checked 2026-10-08) |
| Load history from CSV (`ithloahis`) and read history back | `tasks/load-history.md` | verified (R1.03); on R1.05 awaiting user verification (writes history) |
| Monitor CPU, disk, network, processes; run a command on an item change | `tasks/monitoring-processes.md` | verified (R1.03); R1.05 setup files identical, not re-run |
| Database consistency check (`dsschk`) | `tasks/consistency-check.md` | verified (check only, R1.03 and R1.05) |
| Tuning checks: limits and health snapshots | `tasks/tuning-checks.md` | verified (read-only, R1.03 and R1.05) |
| BUS Service utilities: is a process attached (`durwfp`), stop one process (`durstp`), message tools, adaptive queues | `tasks/bus-utilities.md` | verified (`durwfp`, `umhman`, read-only checks on R1.03 and R1.05); `umhmsg`/`umhtestprog` R1.03 only (ISS-030) |
| DSS checks and tools: DSS processes, `dss.sup`, quick load macros/includes/memo files, `dssutl`, DSS compiler syntax check | `tasks/dss-tools.md` | verified (R1.03); processes, `dss.sup` and compiler check re-tested on R1.05 |
