# Version differences: R1.03 → R1.05
What changed between CI Server **R1.03.00** (what this repo was first written for; frozen on
branch `r1.03`, tag `r1.03-final`) and **R1.05.00** (current target of `main`).
Each skill and manual summary is moved to R1.05 one at a time; this file is where to look for
the changes in the meantime.
Sources: the revision tables at the end of each R1.05 manual (editions dated Feb. 2026; R1.04
editions Jan. 2025) and a read-only comparison of the installed files on the R1.03
development machine and the R1.05 test server (2026-10-08). Status: **from docs** plus
**verified** file lists; behaviour is not yet re-tested.
## 1. Installation and files (verified, 2026-10-08)
| | R1.03 (development machine) | R1.05 (test server) |
|---|---|---|
| Version string | `CI Server R1.03.00 (r10200M)` | `CI Server R1.05.00 (r11609M)` |
| Program root (`TLS_ROOT_PATH`) | `C:\Program Files (x86)\Yokogawa\CIServer` | `C:\Yokogawa\CIServer` |
| Data root (`TLS_ALLUSERS_PATH`) | `C:\Users\Public\Yokogawa\tls` | `C:\Yokogawa\CIServer\tls` (same folder as the program) |
| Manuals | `C:\Users\Public\Yokogawa\tls\doc\EN` | `C:\Yokogawa\CIServer\tls\doc\EN` |
| `tls_versions.lst` | all lines `R1.03.00` | 112 lines `R1.05.00`, `jython-full` `R1.04.00` |
The install paths may be a choice made at install time, not a product change. Always read the
`TLS_*` environment variables (`set TLS`) rather than assuming a path. Skills still show the R1.03 paths
until they are re-checked.
**Installed files that are new or gone** (only names that matter for engineering are listed):
| Area | New in R1.05 | Gone since R1.03 |
|---|---|---|
| IEC 60870-5-104 and IEC 61850 drivers | New driver family `eqt*` / `eta*`: `eqt104`, `eqt850`, `eqt850dmp`, `eqtdbg`, `eqtfrcscn`, `eqtiostat`, `etaman`, `eta104*.sup`, `eta850*.sup`, `eqtini.sup`, `eqt850.icd`, `eqtfrcscn.tpl`, `eqtini.tpl` | `eqp104`, `eqp850`, `eqp850dmp`, `epa104*.sup`, `epa850*.sup` (the drivers left the `eqp` EQUIPMENT family) |
| IEC 61850 configuration | Quick load / form programs `iec61850_line_u0104`, `iec61850_station_u0104`, `iec61850_point_u0105`, `iec61850_rcb_u0105` | — |
| OPC UA | `opcuac_method_u0104` (OPC UA client methods), `opcuac_station_u0104`, `opcaec_station_u0104` | `opcaec_station_u0103` |
| REST API | `jrstsrv.jar`, `jrstsrv.sup`, `jrstsrv.tpl` (RESTful API server on TCP 34597, IM 36K10L45 ch. 4; skill `data-access`) | — |
| Upgrade | `jupgutl.cmd`, `jmrg.jar` (merge configuration files on upgrade, IM 36K01C10 ch. 3) | — |
| Data access | `dacbackfill.cmd`, `intimpdac.exe` (OPC DA backfill; not yet investigated) | — |
| Graphics | `connectrdp.cmd` (Edit Module *RDP Connect* action, IM 36K10C50 §2.31) | — |
| Authorization | `dss_ath_grp_u0104` (authorization group form/loader, new revision) | — |
| Setup files | `fcsini.sup`, `scsini.sup`, `ugsini.sup`, `vvnetini.sup` now in `tls\sup` (were only templates in R1.03), `extjython-full.sup` | — |
The R1.03 development machine also had `eqpcieng*`, `opxcieng*` and `adtlogci.sup` files that were added there
for the sample project `CI-Eng-Sample`; they are not part of the product.
## 2. Manuals (from docs)
All 39 manuals were reissued (Feb. 2026). One manual is new. Most of them only added contact

**Revision table lists only contact information:** C20, C30, E10, E30, J20, J40, L10, L15,
L20, L25, L30, L35, L36, L40, P10, P11, P20, P30, R20, R40. The revision tables do not list
every R1.04 edit, so each of these was also compared word by word with its R1.03 edition
(`tools/manual_diff.py`, 2026-10-08). Result:
| Manual | Unlisted changes found by the text diff |
|---|---|
| E10 Excel Add-in | §3 no longer says the Connection Manager shows `localhost` first and then the last server used. (The item-filter text first listed here only moved between pages: corrected 2026-10-09, ISS-166.) |
| E30 Alarm System Performance Analysis | §3.2 KPI grid: the charts now have labels (*In Time*, *Too Late*, *Not Ackn*, *Nuisance*) and the third chart is corrected to alarms **not** acknowledged in the period (ISS-132) |
| L30 BUS Service | `durwfp` return value reworded (1 = process attached/running, 0 = otherwise); same meaning |
| P11 Java class language | §10.2 reworded, with one real fix: `createSection()` is described without the process-area argument; the §8 examples still pass it (ISS-154) |
| P20 RQL | Footer `<position>` sentence split in two; same meaning |
| L40, R20, R40, C30, L35, J40 | Spacing, punctuation, titles only |
| C20, J20, L10, L15, L20, L25, L36, P10, P30 | None |
Skills based only on these manuals still need a quick re-test on R1.05 (installed files may
differ), but their content is expected to hold. All of them were re-checked in batches 2 and 3
(2026-10-08/09).
**Unlisted changes found in the second re-check batch (2026-10-08):**
| Manual | Change not named in the revision table |
|---|---|
| C10 | §1.1 new *Tools* menu (OPC UA Information Model Mapper); §3.3.4 string item length max 200 bytes (was 100 characters) |
| G10 | §3.2.2 string length max 200 bytes; small rewording in §8, §13 |
| C50 | §1.5 `jwuiutl -m/-M` output space-separated; §1.7 and §2.36 HTML-display notes removed; §2.27 trend *Enterprise* supported on the web; §2.31 *Calculation/Function* renamed *Generic Functions* with documented timing; §2.32 JavaScript function timing |
| R30 | §4.4 enterprise supported on the HTML display; §4.7.15 removed; §4.8.1 alarm overview enterprise note removed; §4.10 restrictions changed |
| R10 | §3.1 setup from the ISO file (R1.04); §3.3 only a new cross-reference |
| J10 | new §3.2.6 *Gateway* configuration; §5.1 licence request wizard no longer listed |
| C40 | §4.2 remote access now "ODBC and RESTful API" |
**Installed-software changes with no manual text** (see the issues): `dur.sup` `gateway_core` and `ADTSTO` adaptive queue (ISS-109, 122); `jwuiisg.sup` redirect, whitelisting, cache keywords, security headers and CSP (ISS-110, 111); DSS processes `DSSSDARST` / `DSSSDAPY` and `dss.sup` queue sizes (ISS-117); start-script extension hooks `?*_<script>.cmd` (ISS-121); `ITEM_VAL` fields `ENG_UNIT`, `SCALE_HIGH_LIMIT`, `SCALE_LOW_LIMIT` (ISS-126); `AUTH_GROUP_DF` up to 250 actions; `tlsdnetapi.dll` no longer installed.
Batch 3 (2026-10-09): `AUDIT_TRAIL` `APPROVAL_REASON` / `APPROVER` and E_LAYOUT units (ISS-140); 36 new audit classifiers incl. `PENDING`, `REST-SERVER`, `PYTOOLS`, `PASSWORD-CHECK` (ISS-141); 3 new authorization actions `UA_MAPPER_PROJECT_*` (ISS-146); `dss_ath_grp_u0104` is a database upgrade tool run once by `database_start.cmd`, not a loader (ISS-147); `dssana.sup` user interfaces *RESTful API Server*, *Python Interface*, *Password Check Function* (ISS-148); `API_KEYS_DF` holds no key values (ISS-151); internal `ALARM_ATTRIBUTE_TEMP_DF` (ISS-133); `alnsms.sup` defaults (ISS-134); OPC UA method system classes `UAC_MTD_JBASE` / `UAS_MTD_JBASE` (ISS-155); Java runtime 11.0.28 (ISS-156); extension hooks also in alarm, audit, process, report and HAC scripts (ISS-121, 142, 160); `dss.pyd` pyTOOLS module 3.6.1 (ISS-174).
**Method for every manual re-check:** do not rely on the revision table or the release notes.
Run `python tools/manual_diff.py <R1.03 doc\EN> <R1.05 doc\EN> <IM>` and review every change,
including those made in R1.04.
## 3. Re-check plan
Order (biggest change first), tracked in `progress.md` under *R1.05 re-check*:
1. `system-check` (paths, version string): done in the baseline.
2. `installation-security`, `data-access`, `equipment`: real manual changes. Re-checked read-only 2026-10-08
(ISS-076–090). IM 36K10L45 section numbers moved by one chapter from ch. 4 on (new ch. 4 REST API).
3. New pyTOOLS manual (P40) and the REST API.
4. `graphics`, `history-management`, `portal-setup`, `system-management`.
5. All other skills: re-test the task files on R1.05, no manual change expected.
The R1.05 test server is **shared with other projects**. Re-checks there are read-only unless
the user approves a change; see "Test system" in `progress.md`.
